Nothing Unveiled New Ear (stick) Wireless Earbuds for $99

Nothing, a startup founded by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, has introduced its second model of wireless earbuds dubbed Ear (stick) in a branded style.

Nothing unveiled its debut pair of true wireless earbuds a little over a year ago. The new earbuds are essentially a stripped-down alternative to their predecessor, with fewer features and a lower price.

The earbuds feature Nothing’s distinctive design with transparent elements, and so does their charging case. Arriving in a compact and transparent cylindrical case that resembles lipstick, Nothing Ear (stick) with the half-in-ear design features up to 29 hours of battery life between charges. Using the buds alone will get you 7 hours of playback. The Ear (stick) also provides up to 9 hours of battery life on a 10-minute charge.

The earbuds are also equipped with a 12.6-mm custom driver, while each earbud has three onboard hybrid microphones: one for hearing your voice, one for measuring your ear canal, and one for cancelling out background noise during calls, even though the new model does not support active noise cancellation.

The touch controls have been replaced with press controls, and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance has been added. Press controls on both earbuds can be used to control music playback, adjust volume, and activate voice assistance.

Controls can be customized via the Nothing app on both iOS and Android or on
Nothing’s Phone 1 itself.

Nothing Ear (stick) has been widely available since November 4 for $99.
