Euronews: Heads of UAE and Russia meet in St Petersburg days following OPEC+ cuts oil manufacturing 

Russian President Vladimir Putin has satisfied his United Arab Emirates counterpart in St. Petersburg. 

The shift will come times soon after OPEC+ made a decision to slice world oil output by two million barrels per day, the alliance’s greatest slash given that the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

“We are actively doing work in the framework of OPEC+,” explained Putin.

“I know your posture. Our conclusions, our motion, aren’t directed against anybody. We usually are not performing to develop complications for anyone… Our actions are aimed to make sure security in world power markets.”

The final decision to slash oil generation further more strained the United States’ connection with Saudi Arabia, a important member of the OPEC+ alliance.
